The request was given to K-P Inspector General (IG) Nasir Khan Durrani by PTI Central Secretary Legal Affair’s Barrister Suleman Afridi.
An FIR of the Hangu drone strike, which killed six persons including a Taliban commander, was filed against unidentified persons in Hangu on November 22. This is the first FIR of its kind in Pakistan.
PTI's media cell issued a statement on Monday, according to which IG Durrani has ordered that the police investigation of the Hangu drone strike FIR case be initiated. The IG has also directed officers to thoroughly investigate the points raised in the request, states PTI's media cell.
In the request, Afridi references the foreign ministry's official statement, a detailed report by the Washington Post and the orders of the Peshawar High Court on drone strikes.
Hangu strike
On November 21, a drone had fired four missiles at a madrassa in Hangu, killing six people and injuring at least eight others.
Also, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami and Defence Council of Pakistan (DPC) Chief, Samiul Haq had said yesterday while talking to media at Mardan Press Club that PTI Chairman Imran Khan should nominate US President Barack Obama in the FIR filed against the drone strike in Hangu.

Sorry folks , I have a very different view about American drones. It may be violating our sovereignty but it certainly is instilling terror among the terrorist. If Talibans are afraid of any thing it is drones. If through some mechanism innocent casualties can be avoided drones are the best weapon to take the wind out of Taliban. I believe America is doing this nation a great favour by droning Taliban who are definitely not friends of this nation.

When I say the Headline "US and CIA nominated", I thought the Government of Pakistan is nominating for Nobel Peace Prize.

The coordinates are often provided by our own government. The Pathans get infuriated; they declare revenge (Badal) like their US Rambo comrades have, although Rambos' revenge should have been against the Saudis. Haha, just kidding, there are obvious problems with that scenario called "buy oil, sell weapons.". The Pathans can't shoot the drones because their "old friend" has taken all the Stingers back that they had given to the Mujahideens to fight the ungodly Russians in defense of their common Abrahamic faiths against infidels who believed neither in Christ, the Saviour, nor in the holy scriptures. So the desperate Pathan take their wrath out, using ammonium nitrate, on innocent Pakistanis who, by virtue of their government's shameful silence and tacit approval, are complicit in their murder. TTP finds new recruits and mutters more inanities about Sharia'h, this that and the other; the Afghan Taliban laugh at the helplessness of our government that stabbed them in the back a la Mullah Zaeef. Either the PTI (pseudo-intellectual leadership including its brainless trolls) is too naïve or it is trying to play with the emotions of its trolls that after 2 days it has now realized to register FIR against US & CIA. In the first episode of the drama, the FIR was registered against "unidentified persons".

Nominate USA and CIA and in response they will nominate Pakistan for sheltering terrorists, arming them and giving them passage to attack on a sovereign country. PTI trolls should know that Taliban are not victims. They are terrorists in the eyes of the world. The way they are hunted down could be wrong but sheltering and arming them is a far bigger crime.
Its almost like PTI doesn't want the provincial government. Its like a spoilt child that starts breaking existing toys when it cannot have an unattainable one. @faysal: Please don't confuse. Drones are an attack on the sovereignty of the country, innocent lives are lost as collateral damage and help attract extremists. P.S. PTI or IK is not American, it wants to convey a message to the intl community that this is not acceptable. Period!!! Nothing to do with US Aid or passports, if America is angry at this move they can cancel the passports and stop aid.

I fail to understand the fact that NATO Supply was stopped by us due to Salalah incident where our soldiers died due to firing by the Americans...right ! then the entire country and its leadership supported....but today when drones killed some TTP / haqqani people alongwith many innocent people...why there is controversy ? I,have same sympathy with our Armed forces which i have for our poor people....why are we creating differences and different standards....one for our Army and another for our innocent poor people who are killed alongwith the terrorists.... we have make every effort to expose which group under TTP are willing to talk peace and who are against it.....we should then do every thing possible to sit across and discuss peace like the Afghans are doing...so why cant we ? why América or Govt of Afghanistan is creating a wedge and pitting one group to fight another....and in the bargain our country is sufferring....when Afghan govt has the cheek to ask ,us for our help in arranging Talibans for their peace talk, why our govt not do same with them ? If América or Afghanistan govt do not facilitate us in talking peace, we should not assist them also....peace in Pakistán is as important as peace in Afghanistan, but our PMs have always spoken only peace in Afghanistan....there should be two way traffic....there should be simultaneous peace talks in Pakistán and Afghanistan....it need political will from our leaders.....
I am sure that a crack team of KPK Police Detectives is getting ready to travel to D.C. and place Barack Obama, John Brennan and officials of CIA's Special Activities Division under arrest and extradite them to Peshawar...........And I thought that I couldn't daydream :D
