MANSEHRA:

A teenage girl was allegedly raped by three men, said police officials on Thursday. One of the accused has been arrested while the other two escaped.

Fifteen-year-old Ramsha Bibi* a resident of Hasari village, Garhi Habibullah, filed an FIR with the police according to which she got involved with Hafeez*, a police constable in the same village six month ago. It stated Hafeez introduced Ramsha to his friend Yasir*, an employee of NADRA.

On November 16, Hafeez asked Ramsha to meet him at the Mansehra Bus Terminal from where they planned to elope.

According to the report, Hafeez, Ramsha and Yasir drove to Haripur and booked a hotel room for the night. Ramsha alleged that Hafeez and his friend repeatedly raped her in the room.

“When I resisted, they threatened to cut me into pieces and throw me into Tarbela Lake,” Ramsha told journalists on Thursday.

From the hotel, the accused allegedly shifted her to Rawalpindi where they booked a room and are said to have assaulted her again. They returned to Garhi Habibullah the following afternoon and asked a Suzuki van driver, who was later identified as Irfan*, to take Ramsha to her village.

Irfan, instead, took Ramsha to Salam Koi and allegedly molested her. He then left the teenager in a graveyard near Hasari village, threatening to kill her if she disclosed his identity.

According to Ramsha, she reached home and told her mother about her ordeal, who then took her to the police station to register a complaint

When contacted, investigation officer ASI Abdul Hameed said that they have not yet received the medical report of the victim which might help them identify the accused. The police are conducting raids to catch the other two.
