He was addressing a press conference in Karachi. Rehman criticised the media for quickly labeling the incident a sectarian clash and said such a portrayal should be avoided or limited.
The cleric said the Rawalpindi incident could have been avoided if those involved in Karachi’s Boulton Market attack in 2009 were brought to justice.
Condemning the recent clash that killed around nine people during a Muharram 10 procession, Rehman said both Shias and Sunnis are claiming innocence, therefore a detailed inquiry is the need of the hour.

The violence was apparently ignited by the storming of a religious seminary in Raja Bazaar. Some unidentified people attacked the policemen deployed outside the seminary as well and snatched their weapons before resorting to firing.
The mob later set the seminary and nearby shops on fire. More than a hundred shops were gutted according to local traders, as firemen struggled to put out the blaze. Ambulances ferried the dead and the injured to nearby hospitals.

let me spill out the whole incident.. Juloos was passing, Shias were incited due to hate speech. they pelted stones at madersa and got stones in return. Since madersa people were on high ground stones thrown by them injured shias. furthermore, firing started in the back ground which caused panic and the madersa got burned. Only thing out of place here is this time Shias retaliated to ASWJ incitments. This is what they cant digest.
The practical things to do would be: 1. Shutting down religious processions. 2. Closing Madrassas and instead provide religous education in government run schools. 3. Regulate mosques. Mosques should be open at namaz times. The prayer leader should be paid a salary only by government. 4. No tableeghi activities by any sect. 5. No use of loudspeaker. A sermon should not be heard outside of mosque. (Azaan can be).

I have to agree with you but numbers are incorrect, please allow me to correct you.
-There were not 4,000 muslim killed in gujrat but 47,887.55 (.5 because one victim is in coma and other is 95% alive.) -In kahsmir more than 8,000,000.54321 muslims were killed! The indian army lead by 'chankya', managed to kill more than the numbers of muslims in the valley. Every (actually all) innocent muslim family in the valley has at least 5 future, yet to be borne, generations of innocent muslims killed by the hindu army The entire population of sikhs were wiped out. The last surviving sikhs can only be found in pakistan as a protected minority.

Complete end to foreign funding to all religious organizations and madaris. We need to move away from "Islamic" blocks which treat Pakistan as their battleground, and need to get more aligned with the moderate secular counties. We need politicians of strong will, and not cowards like Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan, who can take this menace head on. We need to take religion out of the affairs of state, and treat all citizens equally. Statistically, non-Muslim officials have proven to be more upright, and just compared to the Muslim government officials. No point in preventing them from certain positions.
This is the result of our "Strategic Depth" strategy. We should thank Ziaulhaq, Chishti, Akhtar Abdul Rehman, Hamid Gul and their "assets" like Jamat e Islami, the Lashkars of various stripes, MQM, the kidnap mafia etc, etc. This is the direct result of Pakistan Military conquering Pakistan repeatedly; no outside enemy could have achieved this feet.

This means the TTP and ASWJ who are massacring our civilians are not muslims, which means Mehsud was not a muslim - which means Munawar Hassan and JI / JUI are calling a non-muslim a martyr, which means JI/JUI are also Indian agents working against the cause of Muslims. Now it starts getting interesting. If JI is an Indian agent, then so is their ally Tabdeeli Khan and PTI. This means they they should not be opposing the drone attacks, which are killing 'innocent' muslims. That means they cannot be Indian agents which wants to cause violence among innocent muslims --- this opposes the original assumption that India is causing sectarian violence. :)
So what should we believe now? Or do you want to accept that your logic is flawed and twisted?

The third force is the one that was involved in the killings of all that you are mentioning but then you are fortunate that the leadership of the third force that you are mentioning is in Pakistan. Arrest of Hafiz Saed, Dawood and the other killers involved in the genocide mentioned by you should teach these guys some lessons.. They may decide not to do any further killings in Pakistan

Yes, its time that they should be identified. They are the same elements who despite the curfew, despite the fact that they were not given permission to say open funeral in Liaquat Bagh brought the 3 dead bodies to the ground and despite were asked by the authorities to leave, they said the funeral prayers led by Maulana Samiul Haq and Fazul Rehman. For these people law does not exist and they can do whatever THEY think is right. They are the same people involved in other activities. What kind? we all know. Their hatred towards one sect is well known. This time, they think they are the victims so all this balatant violation of curfew. BTW only 3 dead bodies were brought. The so called leadership is not in grip with the country. And this is the problem. What standards of leadership are there when the PM of the country is reading notes on meeting with Obama.
