Such statements create an environment of distrust on the government, Hussain told The Express Tribune. “The funds’ announcement to MPAs in the K-P Assembly is against their (PTI’s) own manifesto and the Supreme Court should take notice of this matter,” he said, referring to the chief minister’s decision of granting development funds to select lawmakers.
Hussain said Chief Minister Pervez Khattak was the irrigation minister during ANP’s government in the province, implying his party was impartial in its decisions. He also added PTI needs to focus on their election manifesto and take steps to deliver, adding so far things have only worsened on all fronts.
The ANP leader maintained PTI had fraught relations with the bureaucracy and the executive, with little or no understanding of core issues. Hussain went on to say even the difficult relationship between the chief secretary and chief minister was no secret and that the PTI government should concentrate on putting its house in order instead of pointing fingers at ANP.
Hussain added though the all-parties conference to discuss negotiations with the Taliban has been held, inaction could further hamper the goal of restoring peace in the country.

Respect for Mian Iftikhar Hussain! Perhaps the only politician from KPK who has an impeccable character and integrity. The other one was Late Bashir Bilour whose assassins are being begged to open an office in KPK by the PTI Government....Shame!
Acting against the bureaucracy is a step we desperately need our federal govts. to take and am pleased to see CM KPK is not shy of doing so. Blood sucking bureaucrats sitting in Islamabad should be next.
