Polio eradication: Pakistan For All to hold peace march

The event is held in commemoration of polio workers who lost their lives while struggling for a polio-free Pakistan.

KARACHI: In light of Pakistan being one of the last three countries in the world that has yet to eradicate polio, NGO Pakistan For All is organising a peace march and vigil on world polio eradication day on Thursday. The title of the campaign for a polio free Pakistan is ‘Drops For All’. The event would be simultaneously held in Lahore and Karachi. The Karachi event would be held at 6pm. The event is held in commemoration of the polio workers who have lost their lives while struggling for a polio-free Pakistan. It is is an awareness campaign to mobilise the society towards the eradication of polio, to defend its polio workers from extremist elements and to improve the working conditions and morale of polio workers in Pakistan.
