KARACHI: The University of Karachi cancelled the admission of three students after their mark sheets were found to be fake, said the university's admissions director, Prof. Dr Khalid Iraqi on Friday. The students, Najeed Ahmed Samjadi of the public administration department, Muhammad Umar of the economics department and Syed Umairuddin of the political science department, were enrolled in the university's evening programme for Master's degree. The university receives thousands of applications annually and continues to scrutinise the candidates' past academic record throughout the year with the help of secondary and intermediate boards of education, Dr Iraqi explained while speaking to The Express Tribune.
