Common culture: Japanese ambassador visits QAU

TIAC Director also presented a book and a Buddha statue to the ambassador.

ISLAMABAD: An interactive session between students of Asian Studies at Quaid-i-Azam University and the Ambassador of Japan Hiroshi Inomata regarding the history of Gandhara civilisation was held at the varsity’s Taxila Institute of Asian Civilisation (TIAC). TIAC Director Ashraf Khan briefed the foreign dignitary about field research on archaeological sites and monuments carried out by the department in different areas of the country. Khan also presented a book and a Buddha statue to the ambassador.
