PESHAWAR: A police official was injured in a roadside explosion in Peshawar's Pishtakhara area, Express News reported on Friday.

According to initial details, explosives planted on the roadside detonated when a police mobile passed by.

The explosion left one injured while the rest remained unhurt.

The blast damaged the police mobile and was also heard in distant areas.

According to the bomb disposal squad, around two kilogrammes of explosive material was used in the bomb.

Police have cordoned off the area and started their investigation.
