ISLAMABAD:

A trial court on Thursday ordered the city police to register a case against Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Faisal Sakhi Butt for allegedly attempting to abduct a woman.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Rafaqat Awan while disposing of the case directed Margalla station house officer to register a first information report (FIR) against Butt provided the offence is cognisable.

Earlier, the complainant, Huma Hassan, filed an application seeking the court’s help to register an FIR against the former chairman of Prime Minister’s special task force for Islamabad and the PPP candidate for NA-48 in the general elections for allegedly kidnapping her.

She maintained in the application that a black car with six people including Butt intercepted her while she was going with her children and tried to abduct her, adding that upon her guard’s resistance the attempt was foiled and the men fled from the scene.

According to the complainant, the police are reluctant in registering an FIR against him.

The law makers are the biggest law breakers. If the police do not arrest this crook, she should go straight to the CJ.
