LAHORE: Two-time champions Army held Wapda to a goalless draw in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) match in Lahore yesterday.

Army and Wapda had also played a draw in their first match against each other, however both teams are without a defeat in the season so far.

Meanwhile, Afghan FC and Baloch FC began their campaign in the league yesterday. Afghan FC defeated Baloch FC 1-0 in Karachi as Samad scored an early winner in the eighth minute of the match.

“It was an exciting match but the teams from Balochistan and Chaman are missing their crowd” a match official told The Express Tribune. “They have been the most affected by the change in venues.”

In other matches, PIA drew their match against HBL 1-1 at Sharafi Stadium in Karachi. Shakir Lashari scored for PIA in the 30th minute whereas HBL’s Muhammad Bilal equalised the score in the 45th.
