Speaking at a press conference in Peshawar, Imran condemned those who "were painting the attack in a political light."
The PTI-led K-P government has come under heavy criticism for its inability to deliver on its election slogan of change in the province. Today's attack on the Christian community was cited as a failure of the PTI by some members of civil society and political parties on both social media and traditional media.
The PTI Chairman said the agreement to proceed with dialogue rather than operations against the militants was agreed upon by all parties at the All Parties Conference.
Pointing towards a possible conspiracy, he questioned why attacks like the one on the church occur whenever talk of dialogue progresses. He also pointed out that a US drone attack was carried out today, yet did not highlight how this was connected to the Peshawar attack.
The K-P government announced Rs500,000 in compensation to the families of victims in the attack.

Most of the contributors do not seem to have noticed that in the days before the peace talks the Americans, with Pakistan Government assistance, invariably usually use a few drone strikes to upset the apple cart.

In his statement yesterday, Imran Khan in one sentence asked why terrorist attacks happened when negotiations were on the table; then in the next sentence said that it was the 210th terrorist attack since 211 attacks (he actually meant 209 attacks) were carried out during ANP's government. So my question for himis; did ANP hold talks 209 times with TTP/terrorists in the last 5 years that attacks happened? As far as I know, ANP were always against holding talks with terrorists. Clearly either Imran is too naive to know that he doesn't know, or he is simply lying and playing politics on the dead bodies our our Christian brothers and sisters.

We shall indeed be on our guard so that a hitler doesn't destroy our country. And for me, Sonia Gandhi is worse than Mr. Modi. So I am not sure either of them fit the bill for me. As regards my comment, it was one of genuine pain at the loss of so many innocent lives. There are a lot many of us in India who are concerned at the path that Pakistan is sliding on. @Arjun: Pakistan did support these people during Russian war that is a known fact. They were our border protection patrol and our people. Fed Govt has treaty with FATA since independence. You mind your business we mind ours. You scratch my back and i scratch yours. They were the buffer that stopped any foreign intervention. However, After 9/11 just for US Dollars Musharraf send his troops in FATA and started killing his own people. Yes they would kill Al-Qaeda members hidden among the locals but they killed more innocent FATA people. This led to rebellion and blood for blood and for last 13 years it has caused instability and bloodshed.
All this could have been avoided if Musharraf refused to help US in war on terror like Turkey did at that time. This all would have been avoided with ease even after Musharraf left but no one listened to Imran at that time and continued getting Dollars to look the other way and keep using our troops to kill our own people. Now the situation is very complicated and there is no easy solution.
We have tried using force and now its time to have peace talks with people who are willing and accept Pak constitution. This will help us in isolating the criminals and getting rid of them once and for all. The timings of drone strikes and these type of attacks have always been suspicious because whenever Political parties are serious in negotiations such incidents happen to derail the process. ANP ruled for five years and KPK saw many terrorist attacks. I am from KPK and I fully support negotiation. Imran Khan is saying to hold a ceasefire and pull out of the war on terror and stop drone attacks. If this helps stop the problem, then good but if elements of terrorism still exist then use force. I am all for killing Taliban and sometimes I feel like going out myself and killing the monsters but if you kill them, they kill us. IK's approach is the only solution. This war on terror has only got us more terror! I think IK should find this continue harassment as a sign of expectations.. That people expect a lot from them because they have the capability and are the only ones. IK is only honest and has been open for years prior to being in politics about him being against the war. One of the biggest threats facing Pak is this Imran Khan. So long as his conspiracy theories and appeasement to terrorists will not end, there is very little chance for peace. When you aspire to be a leader; and that too as a leader for change, you do not have the luxury or the latitude to be asking questions of this nature. I support Imran Khan for his devotion to bring in change in the lives of people of Pakistan and his vendetta against corruption. But the job he has undertaken does not afford the indulgence of on-the-job training. Instead of looking like a fool for his naiveté, it's incumbent upon him now to grab the bull by its' horns and tackle the menace. He should have known the nature of the beasts Pakistan is confronted with and should have been prepared for this calamity. Regardless, since the blood of poor Pakistanis, specially of the religious minorities, is cheaper than dirt, Imran Khan and his ruling party in KPK has the luxury of yet another chance to deal with the evil with open guns instead of 'talks.'

IK is really great. He has already pointed to out to the possible conspiracy to break the peace talks. Its time to pull out the army and put them at the barracks. The Problem is Army should stop meddling and give IK a negotiate and bring peace to the region.
