LAHORE:

Additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudhary Ghulam Murtaza on Friday fixed October 2 for recording statements of remaining witnesses in the Sawan Masih blasphemy case. Shahid Imran, Abdul Majid, Iftikhar and Muhammad Bashir have already recorded their statements.

Two of the 10 prosecution witnesses, Qasim and Shafique, have been given up. Shahid Imran had stated in his complaint that early in the morning on March 14, him and his neighbour Muhammad Shafique had an altercation with Sawan Masih who used derogatory language against the Holy Prophet (peace be upon on him).
