Official trip: Supreme Court CJ to visit Peshawar today

PESHAWAR:


Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry will visit Peshawar today (Saturday) on a one-day trip.


He is scheduled to attend three different programmes at the Peshawar High Court (PHC) and K-P Judicial Academy.

CJ Chaudhry will also inaugurate a new building for the Human Rights Directorate and address PHC lawyers. In addition, certificates for the completion of a training course will be distributed by the CJP among lawyers in the K-P Judicial Academy.

Strict security arrangements have been finalised ahead of Justice Chaudhry’s visit and PHC Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan is personally supervising all the details for the scheduled visit.

All roads leading to the premises of the PHC would be sealed during the CJP’s stay.
