Islamic finance: KASB launches family takaful package

The service is launched in collaboration with Dawood Family Takaful Limited.

KARACHI: The management company of KASB Funds Limited announced on Thursday that the takaful operator will provide family takaful coverage for investors of KASB Islamic Income Opportunity Fund (KIIOF). The service was launched in collaboration with Dawood Family Takaful Limited. KIIOF is a Shariah compliant income fund with no direct exposure to the stock market. KIIOF keeps exposure in short term instruments, while a medium to long term exposure is maintained to add growth to the portfolio. The proposal acceptance signing ceremony between KASB Funds and Dawood Family Takaful was held at the KASB Funds Head Office on the September 2, 2013. KASB Funds announced that they are continuously striving to develop new products and adding new features to current products to facilitate their customers and add more value to their investments. As such investors of the KASB KIIOF will now benefit from the Family Takaful coverage.
