A total of 908 students appeared in their final year professional MBBS examinations, out of which 759 were declared successful. The
overall passing percentage was 84%.
According to a notification issued by the KMU examination department, Saeed Ali of KMC secured first position by obtaining 1,722 marks out of 2,000. Ambreen Subhan and Ziauddin obtained the second and third positions by acquiring 1,677 and 1,620 points, respectively.
In the exams, the highest passing percentage was 96%, achieved by Khyber Girls Medical College, Peshawar and KMU Institute of Medical Science, Kohat.
Bannu Medical College and KMC Peshawar both had a passing percentage of 95%. Gomal Medical College, DI Khan had a passing percentage of 88% followed by Saidu Medical College, Swat with 86%. Meanwhile, Ayub Medical College, Abbottabad obtained 85% passing results and Women Medical College, Abbottabad scored 71%.
The lowest percentage of successful candidates was recorded at Abbottabad International Medical College with only 21%.
In the notification, KMU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Hafizullah congratulated successful students, particularly position holders, and expressed hope they would improve their professional and communication skills through hard work in the upcoming years.
