Abduction Incident: Spiritual leader kidnapped from Kalat

Relatives of Syed Ahmed Shah and others blocked the main National Highway.

QUETTA: A spiritual leader was kidnapped from Kalat on Thursday. According to sources, Syed Ahmed Shah, a spiritual leader, was on his way when armed men in Kalat district intercepted and kidnapped him at gunpoint.

Following the incident, the relatives of Syed Ahmed Shah and others blocked the main National Highway connecting Quetta-Karachi in protest.

The protesters chanted slogans against the administration and demanded immediate recovery of the kidnapped spiritual leader.

On the other hand, two employees of Health Department in Loralai who were kidnapped two months back while traveling to Zhob along with three doctors, including that of medical superintendent of District Headquarter Hospital Loralai are yet to be recovered.

Also, Dr Muhammad Ahmed Khan and a trader Muhammad Ishaq who were kidnapped from Quetta few weeks back have reached home safe and sound.
