Top seeds Aqeel Khan and Yasir Khan cruised into the quarter-finals of the inaugural Eastern Testing Services PTF Ranking Tennis Championship 2013 in the men’s singles event yesterday.
Aqeel outclassed Hasnain Manzoor 6-0, 6-0, while Yasir overcame Ahmed Babar 6-1, 6-7, 6-1. Yasir will face Faizan Khurram, who defeated Malik Hamza 6-1, 6-2, in the quarter-final today. Meanwhile, Aqeel will play Ahmed Chaudhry, who defeated Muhammad Ahmed 6-1, 6-2. Mohammad Abid outplayed Arham Atiq 6-2, 6-4 to book his place in the quarter-finals as well. Usman Ejaz completed the quarter-final line-up with his victory over Malik Abdul Rehman 6-1, 7-5.
