Relief work: Mobile teams to help flood-affected

Additional chief secretary, officials of the PDMA and Rescue 1122 attended the meeting.

LAHORE: Chief Secretary Javed Aslam on Thursday directed the Punjab Disaster Management Authority and the Local Government and Community Development Department to make proper arrangements for those affected by floods. Presiding over a meeting to review the flood relief activities here at the Civil Secretariat, Aslam said the district government and the Health Department should make joint efforts to provide basic health facilities to flood victims at their camps. He said the departments concerned should stay in contact with each other to control any untoward situation due to rains and potential floods. The additional chief secretary, secretaries of various departments and officials of the PDMA and Rescue 1122 also attended the meeting.
