Two killed, 18 injured in Chaman railway station blast

The injured, including women and children, are being taken to the hospital.

An explosion inside the ticketing counter at a railway station in Chaman, Balochistan injured 18 on Wednesday, Express News reported.

Two of the injured later succumbed to injuries.

The injured, including women and children, were taken to the hospital. The condition of two children injured in the blast was reported to be critical.

Security forces have surrounded the railway station. Officials said that the intensity of the blast could have led to some casualties.

The sound of the explosion was heard in most parts of the city, Express News correspondent Naimatullah Sarhadi reported.

Police and ambulances have reached the scene.

A train was scheduled to depart approximately 20 minutes after the explosion took place, which is why several passengers were present at the station.

Two motorcycles were completely destroyed after the explosion; however it could not be ascertained whether the motorcycles had been used in the explosion.

Chaman has experienced multiple terrorist incidents in the last few months targeting security check posts and government buildings, including multiple attacks on the Pak-Afghan Friendship gate.

As many as seven people, including one Afghan security man, were killed, when a suicide bomber blew himself up on Thursday at Pak-Afghan border in Chaman, Balochistan on June 12. Earlier, three officials were killed in a militant attack on a police check post in the Muslim Bagh area of Chaman, Balochistan on June 16.

@ umer, you forgot to mention that over 1000 Punjabi's have been killed by these BLA type of terrorist organization far more than balochi's or people from other races, and second there is big difference between innocent balochi's and BLA thugs and their collaborators..

Now this incident would be used to kill a few more innocent Baluchis. No court, no hearing.
