QUETTA:

A hunger strike camp, set up for the recovery of missing persons, was set on fire by unidentified men late Wednesday night.

Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), the organisation striving for the recovery of the people who have gone missing, had set up the camp outside the Quetta Press Club to press for their demand.

However, unidentified people set the camp on fire - burning down the carpets and tents. Vice chairman VBMP Mama Abdul Qadir said that they had been receiving threats and warnings from the government to disperse or face the consequences.

He added that Quetta Registry of the Supreme Court has taken notice of the incident. “We have hope the chief justice would help us recover the missing persons but so far his efforts have not been fruitful,” he said.
