LAHORE: Two sanitary ware shops on Multan Road were sealed on Thursday by the Environment Protection Department’s anti-dengue teams.

The teams supervised by Environment Minister Shuja Khanzada, EPD Secretary Anwar Rasheed and MPA Khawaja Imran, inspected Sarwar Sanitary and Imdad Sanitary and found dengue-carrying mosquito and larvae at the roof of these stores.

The environment minister directed the teams to register cases against the shop owners. He also directed the Iqbal Town town municipal authority to remove the larvae.

Talking to the media, Khanzada said the Punjab government was committed to eradicating dengue fever. He said the citizens too should join the fight against “this menace.”
