South Asia: ‘Pakistan committed to cooperation’

“Good relations with regional countries is the main policy of Pakistan,” says State Minister for Privatization.

ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Privatization, Khuram Dastagir Khan, said on Tuesday that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz government would formulate policies on the basis of national interest. The minister was talking to a private television channel during an interview. During the interview the minister said “Good relations with regional countries is the main policy of Pakistan.” He said that newly elected PML-N government was focusing on friendly relations with all the regional countries. Pakistan is committed to maintain peace in the region but any aggressive action would be responded in a befitting manner, he said. Responding to a question, the minister said that there are many unresolved issues with India, adding that the matters must be resolved with dialogue process. The minister said that India should avoid creating hype and added that maturity should be shown on the matters of peace in the region.
