KARACHI: As a dampener on celebrations, two major parks in the city will remain closed for the three days of Eid due to security reasons, Express News reported on Saturday.

Ibn-e-Qasim Park and Clifton Fun Land will reportedly stay closed till the Eid holidays are over. A banner was placed outside Ibn-e-Qasim Park by the SHO of the area stating the closure was due to security reasons.

While speaking to Express News, Director Parks of Karachi, Abdul Rasheed said he was looking for an explanation from the police as he had not instructed the closure and was completely unaware of the situation.

Families with children will have to make alternate plans as these parks were closed unexpectedly.
