60% in Pakistan believe their jobs are secure

ISLAMABAD: A poll conducted by Gallup Pakistan states that 60% of Pakistanis believe their jobs to be secure, as opposed to 24% who believe that there are chances of unemployment.

The current results are not very different from a poll conducted in 2000, when 63% had said they believed their jobs to be secure, while 28% believed that there were chances of unemployment.

The poll asked a sample of 2,604 men and women the following question
Do you believe your current job to be secure or are there chances of unemployment?

The error margin of the poll is estimated to be 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
