Disease prevention: Centre set up for livestock vaccination

A cell has been set up in the district to vaccinate livestock against seasonal diseases.

FAISALABAD: A cell has been set up in the district to vaccinate livestock against seasonal diseases, District Livestock Officer Haidar Ali Khan said on Sunday. He said the district had been divided into 20 sectors. He said 17 veterinary doctors and 34 veterinary assistants had been deployed to vaccinate the cattle. Khan said the pre-flood vaccination drive had started on June 15 and would continue till September 30. He said a mobile team had also been constituted. “Every veterinary official is required to vaccinate 60 animals daily… lady veterinary doctors will give advice to the poultry farmers over radio,” he said.
