Innocent causality: Girl killed in attempted robbery

SUKKUR: An eight-year-old girl, Saba, was killed and a policeman, Ghulam Sarwar Maitlo, was injured in firing between the police and robbers at the National Highway near Rasoolabad police post in Khairpur district on Monday night.

The bus full of Sehwan Sharif devotees was reportedly on its way to Lahore from Sehwan Sharif when a group of armed robbers intercepted the bus and started looting the passengers.

A police team reached the scene and there was a subsequent exchange of fire which resulted in the casualties.

The body and the injured policeman were moved to Hingorja rural health centre, from where Saba’s family took away her body.
