RAWALPINDI: Commander International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) General Joseph E. Dunford met with Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani on Tuesday, Inter Services Public Relations reported.

The two discussed matters of mutual interest, with a particular emphasis on how better coordination can be maintained.

It was a routine coordination visit, reported ISPR.

Earlier this month, top military commanders of Pakistan, Afghanistan and ISAF met to discuss the process of bringing peace in Afghanistan.

Last month, Kayani and Dunford had met to discuss issues related to border coordination along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, when the countries were seeing regular cross-border attacks.
