With each new season, there’s a new palette of colours in the fashion world. One of the hottest shades noticeable this summer is red. You’d think that the sweltering heat would prevent these ladies from wearing shades of crimson, but lo and behold — it’s a hot favourite!

While red represents passion, desire and energy, it is also a colour which has relevance to some cultures. In the West, it represents love on Valentine’s Day, whereas in the East, red stands for good luck in China and purity in India. Shades of red can bring forth positive energy and add courage, confidence and happiness to people’s personality.

You can add it to your wardrobe any way you’d like, from dresses and tank tops to button-down shirts and saris, they all look hot and trendy. These socialites were spotted flaunting various shades of red at different events in Lahore, Karachi and Dubai.

So whether it’s a wedding you’re going to attend or an informal visit to a friend’s place, dig out your red clothes and jump on the bandwagon.
