North Waziristan attack: Four security officials killed

The explosion occurred during a curfew imposed on the entire agency, says official.

MIRANSHAH: At least four security officials were killed while 16 others were injured in a remote-controlled blast near a security forces convoy in Miranshah tehsil, North Waziristan Agency on Sunday.

An official of the security forces said a loud explosion occurred near a heavy vehicle which was part of a security forces convoy at Kamar check post.

The convoy was reportedly en route to Mirali from Miranshah.

The official added a powerful remote-controlled device had been planted by unidentified militants on the roadside just metres away from the check post.

“The device was detonated resulting in the deaths of at least four officials. Casualties may rise in the near future.”

The official further said the explosion occurred during a curfew imposed on the entire agency.

The deceased along with the injured were taken to Combined Military Hospital Bannu and a security forces medical unit in Miranshah.

the latest drone was to this area,so must have gotten some of these barbarians.What choice police and agencies have other than to provide the necessary intelligence ?

Pakistan army is completely un-able to meet the threat of these culprits. So asking U.S. to stop the drone attacks is fully un-justified instead now U.S. should ask to enter in the cities and villages and kill these barbaric Taliban.
