GUJRANWALA: A cylinder blast caused by a generator in the basement of Deen Plaza on GT road injured seven, reported Express News on Wednesday.

A motorcycle shop located in the basement used liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for the generator, instead of Sui gas or petrol, which resulted in an explosion upon being started.

Rescue teams reached the site of the explosion immediately and the injured were shifted to Gujranwala Civil Hospital.

Police officials were also present at the site to investigate.
