LAHORE:

Modern technology will be utilised to curb crime and root out criminals, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Thursday.

He was presiding over a meeting to review the proposed project – Punjab Police Integrated Command – here in Model Town.

He said measures should be taken to set up modern integrated command and control system on the patterns of Istanbul, London and Dubai. Sharif said intelligence sharing system could also be improved through the use of modern technology. The chief minister said the government would provide justice to the people and revolutionary measures would be taken to redress the grievances of those affected. He said the centre would be set up at the Arfa Karim Software Technology Park.
