LAHORE:
Drone policy by the federal government should be made after taking all stakeholders and tribal leaders on board, said Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak on Sunday.
Talking to reporters following a meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan, Khattak said, “The federal government should clarify its policy on drone attacks – a mere diplomatic protest isn’t enough.”
“PTI will not be satisfied until a solid policy on drones is formulated.”
Friends or foes?
Rumours regarding differences between the PTI and Jamaat-e-Islami are baseless and ministry assignments will be made soon, said the K-P chief minister.
There were reports of friction between the two parties in the K-P ruling coalition as both were said to be eyeing control of the education ministry.
“We will decide about the education ministry after due contemplation so that no mistake is made.”
“We are trying to bring a corruption free government in the province,” he added.
Moreover, Jamaat leader Sirajul Haq said that there was no issue of dividing ministries between the two parties. He added that PTI ministers would serve like the servants of the people and all decisions would be taken with consensus in cabinet meetings.
Haq also said that the PTI government would focus on the welfare of students and ill persons.
A delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami leaders also called on Khan on Sunday.

Why would the Jamaat leader Sirajul Haq comment on what the PTI ministers would do? Didi he meant JI? Clerical error?
