RAHIM YAR KHAN:

A district-wide vaccination campaign for polio and measles will be carried out from June 24 to July 4, said a Health Department representative at a meeting here on Sunday.

Children of ages six months to 10 years will be inoculated in the campaign.

DCO Khalid Saleem said all necessary steps would be taken to ensure the campaign’s success.

He said action would be taken against vendors selling unhygienic food as part of a campaign against a gastroenteritis outbreak in the district. He said awareness sessions would also be arranged for vendors.

Saleem said all public transport that had CNG cylinders fitted in them should have fitness certificates.
