Balochistan Slaying: Four killed, two injured in provincial capital

Law enforcement agencies rushed to the site after the incident and cordoned off the area.

QUETTA: At least four people were killed, including two security personnel, and two were wounded in a remote controlled bomb blast and firing incidents in Mastung and Quetta on Monday.

According to sources, a security force vehicle was attacked with a remote controlled device at the Spilinji area of Mastung district, adjacent to Quetta city.

Resultantly, two security personnel identified as Sajid and Ghulam Qamar died on the spot and Abdul Hakeem and Ghulam Nabi sustained serious injuries.

Law enforcement agencies rushed to the site after the incident and cordoned off the area.

The deceased and injured were shifted to a hospital in Quetta.No group claimed responsibility for the attack.

Meanwhile, two people were shot dead in two separate incidents in Quetta. Unidentified armed men opened fire at Sirki Road and fled after the incident.

In a separate incident, armed men critically wounded a man identified as Muhammad Iqbal at Chashma Achozai, on the outskirts of Quetta.

He breathed his last while being shifted to hospital. Police say cases of both incidents have been registered; however, motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.
