Human Capital: ’25% students being provided aid’

Under the UAF-USAID programme, 308 students had been provided scholarships, says Khan.

FAISALABAD: The University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF), is providing financial assistance to nearly 25 per cent of its students with the help of United States Agency for International Development (USAID), said Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, the UAF Vice Chancellor, on Friday.  Khan said this during a briefing on the USAIDs role in providing assistance to UAF here at the Syndicate Hall. He said 75 per cent UAF students were from rural areas and needed financial assistance. He said under the UAF-USAID programme, 308 students had been provided scholarships. He said 63 of these were studying at the university. He said UAF was also providing campus jobs, student loans, and internships to its students. Financial Assistance Director, Brig(r) Muhammad Javed Anwar talked about the financial assistance application procedures.
