Following Reprimand: EDO suffers heart attack

He was taken to district headquarters hospital, where doctors treating him said that he was in critical condition.

HAFIZABAD: An executive district officer was taken to a hospital on Monday when he suffered a heart attack shortly after he was reprimanded by the district coordination officer.

Police said DCO Capt (retired) Zafar Iqbal visited EDO Khurram Shehzad’s office, where he found some arrangements unsatisfactory and reprimanded the officer. Shortly after the DCO left the office, the EDO suffered a heart attack. He was taken to district headquarters hospital, where doctors treating him said that he was in critical condition. They said tests had revealed that he was already suffering from a heart disease.
