The two Pakistani politicians met during a luncheon organised for the Chinese prime minister at the President House in Islamabad, where they discussed the overall political situation of the country.
An understanding could be seen between the two, when Zardari congratulated Sharif for securing a heavy mandate in the 2013 general elections and gave his best wishes to the new government.
He also offered his services to solve the problems faced by the new government and promised Sharif that he will continue to co-operate with the new government.

Someone looks smug!
@sensible: Exactly.
@Careless Whispers: well you are right about NA but for your kind information, PPP still leads senate by huge numbers. :)
@khan
Could you please tell us when was the last time people voted Zardari? As far as I know he has never stood in any election.
He was elected by majority vote in a parliament that was elected by people and according to the Pakistani constitution he is the elected president of Pakistan whether you like that guy or not and mind you I am not a fan either but he is a democratically elected President and nobody can take away his mandate until his tenure is complete. Nawaz shareef (not a fan of him either) is a seasoned politician acknowledges the fact that Zardari is still the president until impeached or he resigns or completes his term. Just because you and I don't like the guy doesn't mean he isn't the elected president.
Words of Tahir ul Qadri are echoing in my ears!

@expaki: Jus like Imran Khan is passing his experience to her Sister, who now actively appears on TV & talks to media.. :)
@Careless Whispers: Realistically PMLN dont need Zardari’s support
Janab Whispers Sahib, Sharif always will need EXPERIENCE of Zardari in preparing Hamza, Miriam and that Captain.
oh no, GOD help us ! Mr Zardari is using his magic again.
What exactly does Zardari mean he will continue to cooperate with the new government? Isn't he supposed to step down? Please comment if I am wrong.
Now it is my turn.....please.
Gentlemen, one is the prime minister in waiting and other is the constitutional president of Pakistan. I hope you would take their statements in the context. Furthermore, PTI supporters should know that Nawaz Sharif is much mature than IK, as he would like to focus on core issues rather than taking everything and everyone heads on. NS has done the same in 1997 and he has learnt his lessons. Khan just entered the school and I hope he would also graduate and learn to respect others irrespective of the differences. You bring change by aligning others on your side not through confrontation and becoming Maula Jut.
like it or not president Zardari is an elected president voted by the people to the office it is necessary for the future PM to meet the president because he is the constitutional head so a very necessary formality that has been fulfilled the childish IK knew his strength when he uttered the nonsense that he will not take oath from the president and his strength was that only in his dreams he could have been the PM
@Zulfiqar: Pls Get out of your paranoia. The masses of Pakistan did not buy argument of both Khan and others of this Mukk Muka. Kindly, learn to respect others and do not jump on conclusions based on your baisedness. It is not going to lead PTI anywhere.
Realistically PMLN dont need Zardari's support, as they got clear majority in NA, all this support talk is symbolic.

“He also offered his services to solve the problems faced by the new government”
Bhai 5 saal kafi "Services" aap ne de dein hain aab or nahi chiye...!!!
Come on guys. Its an official statement so don't bother too much about this. You shouldn't expect to be told that Zardari sb requested PMLN to retain him as a president while Mian sb asked for PPP's help in senate. :)
One more NRO is expected now... Allah blesses us.
Nothing is going to be changed...
pls dont take his co-opration mian sahb.
just remanding old promise to each other :)
both promised each other, FULL COOPERATION TO BUILD FUTURE for next GENERATION :-))))).
"He also offered his services to solve the problems faced by the new government" Be careful Mian Sahib because his services have sunk the ship of PPP.
The Muk Muka continues, but let me remind them, Khan is there inside Assembly this time, it wont be the same this time.
