Busted: Police claim arrest of lawyer’s killers

The Rawalpindi police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested the killers of a Supreme Court lawyer.


Chaudhry Muhammad Khan, was killed on March 28 near Fauji Foundation Hospital on GT Road while going home in his jeep.

City Police Officer (CPO) Abdul Razzaq Cheema said at a press conference that that the lawyer was murdered over an old enmity. “The killers are now in our custody,” he said.

Meanwhile, Morgah Police Station House Officer (SHO) Abdul Sattar Khan, who had been probing the case, said that the police succeeded in nabbing the alleged killers after they searched arduously for clues. He identified the accused as Waheed, Pervez, Khyber Shah, Arshad and Muhammad Din.

Khan said that during the investigation, Waheed, Pervez and Khyber confessed that they had an old enmity with Chaudhry and to avenge the enmity, they had hired two assassins — Arshad and Muhammad Din.

The SHO said that during the investigation, Arshad and Muhammad Din confessed to having carried out the crime.
