KARACHI: The Election Commission of Pakistan extended polling deadline for NA-250, Karachi till 8pm, Express News reported on Saturday.

Polling in many booths of this constituency could not start on time because the election staff and material were not available.

Voters – young and old – waited in scorching heat for hours but in vain. The polling started only recently.

These people haven't waited for more than two hours for a concert to begin and here they are under the heat for over 8 hours waiting for the damn elections to start for NA250.

That's brilliant. But the ECP could extend the deadline into the next century, and it would all be useless if voters don't have the facilities to vote.

Phase 4 Defense, people have been standing in scorching heat for hours waiting for the process to start. Where are the ballot boxes? Where are the stamps? Where is the staff?

Utter incompetence by the ECP and the army.
