The team of investigators of FIA will interrogate Musharraf while he stays at his Chak Shahzad Farmhouse during the time period of the remand.
The retired general appeared in court in Rawalpindi for his remand hearing under tight security. He is accused of conspiracy to murder former prime minister Bhutto, who died in a gun and suicide attack in December 2007.
It is the second of three cases dating back to his 1999-2008 rule for which Musharraf has been arrested since returning to Pakistan on March 24 after four years of self-imposed exile, promising to contest elections.
"We requested a three-day remand of retired general Pervez Musharraf and judge Chaudhry Habib-ur Rehman gave a three-day remand and adjourned the case until Monday," prosecutor Chaudhry Azhar told AFP.
Musharraf is being held at his plush villa on the edge of Islamabad where his party complained that he has been confined to two rooms and stripped of his personal staff.
The trial court on Thursday gave FIA permission to formally arrest the former president for interrogation turning down his request to alter the joint investigation team.
Musharraf is already serving a 14-day judicial remand in Judge’s detention case and has been asked to again appear in the ATC on April 30 for Benazir murder case.
He is also barred from running in next month's general election on May 11 and has been threatened with death by the Taliban.

The police and investigation agencies should never forget and ignore this harsh reality that any severe physical torture to Musharraf or any physically damage of any Musharraf's body part may/shall create the severe problems and difficulties for the investigation agencies including police because Musharraf a retired army general, has been army chief and Pakistan's president and not a civilian. And getting physical remand never ever mean that Musharraf shall be proven Benazir Bhutto's killer because Musharraf is never involved in Benazir Bhutto's murder because some the terrorist groups were threatened Benazir Bhutto to kill this is why Musharraf forbade Benazir Bhutto to come to Pakistan. Therefore those who are rejoicing on Musharraf's arrest against Benazir Bhutto's murder shall be sad and disappointed very very very soon when Musharraf shall be declared innocent and sinless in Benazir Bhutto's murder case Insha Allah Almighty.....
@Sattar Malka: And don't forget his subverting the constitution by taking over an elected government by the sear force of tanks and guns. The treatment he meted out to the sitting prime minister in 1999 is shameful and it is time that he faces the consequences of his illegal actions otherwise there will be another ambitious General waiting in the wings.I would rather take broken democracy than military dictatorship. Lets not confuse the issue, what his government did or not but did he subverted the constitution in 1999 and 2007.
In democratic countries all major desiccations are made after the elections. Pakistan never have a true democracy prior to Aye Khan or after him. Musharraf is also one of them and so is the Nawaz shreef. My biggest complaint against Mr. Musharraf Pervaiz is when he disqualified 80% of non graduate Pakistanis to be elected for the parliament. I asked this government and all Pakistanis “Who is Pakistani and who is qualified to be elected leader and who will decide to be elected?? “ Looked at the Indian elections, Phollan Devi was Criminal, Dacoit, Serve her time and then elected by the people and for the people. Personal characters and Degrees are not the qualifications to Electoral College of Pakistan it is the people of Pakistan to decide
Mosiqar
What is wrong with this country, especially the judiciary? Those who benefited from Benazir's murder, did corruption, earned money for themselves and allowed the state to become a lawless massacre ground are roaming free. For five years they ruled the country they didn't give a damn about who did it. Why is Musharraf being treated like this? Because he was President? During Zardari's tenure more politicians and civilians have been murdered than any other presidency, why is he not under trial? Can't believe the hypocrisy of the media either. Why are they not making a ruckus of all of this injustice as they did during Musharraf's term, for tiny things?
God bless Musharraf, truth always prevails!
Musharraf, You'll Never Walk Alone!
May ALLAH Protect Pervez Musharraf - Aameen
This is not justice and if this is justice then our BIASED CJP should also :
a) Send arrest warrant for Nawaz Sharrif b) Send arrest warrant for Zardari c) Send arrest warrant for Raja Rental d) Yusuf Raza Gillani e) All Feudal lords who have been just consuming taxpayers / and poor people money doing zero
C'Mon - People of Pakistan - do not vote for any of the previously elected govt / leaders as they haven't done nothing for Pakistan -
Pervez Musharraf - our prayers are with you and you will come out with PRIDE !!! Inshallah
plz also run Arsalan cases on daily base too.
Judges are playing politics.
Musharaf should be made a lesson for the history!
What Mussolini, a cruel dictator said “Dictator must die as a ruler because nobody even accepts his dead body after he loses power”.
Biased Judiciary!!
I am not a supporter of Nawaz Sharif, however, my question is, why the so called commando imposed emergency in 1999 even he was selected by two-third majority of the people of Pakistan. He must be humiliated as much as possible, otherwise, Pakistan will never see justice for all system.
Musharraf period was excellent but in his last tenure he did 3 big mistakes 1) NRO to his seat safety 2) Action against Judiciacry 3) Lal Masjid incident (not handled professionall) . NOw he is in trouble hopefully we will see the justice.
Judiciary is paying back Musharraf with compound interest but military keeping quiet on such huge humiliation inflicted on their former COAS is rather strange.
Yes the judiciary is exagrating ! but I beleiev in Justice ! if there is any !! same should be done with each and every corrupt politician !
I see horrible consequences of Musharraf episode. Judiciary is playing with fire.
Biggest shame for Musharraf who raised punch on May 12, 2007 after massive bloodshed in Karachi. This killer should be punished. ALMIGHTY ALLAH will punish him even if he escapes from courts of Pakistan on the basis of lack of evidence.
@Shah (Berlin):
"Respect for the cammando that he knew this will happen and still entered Pakistan"
Then why did he leave Pakistan in the first place? Have perspective.
Pakistan needs a new Supreme Court.
@Zoha Ali: None of your point effect people of Pakistan except power club
Lets see how much shame judiciary can bring on themselves. Musharaf is going to come out clean. Long Live Musharaf!!
@Zoha Ali: Why did he arrest the elected government? Imagine you're in air and your plane isn't allowed to land with only 15 mins of fuel left, is this ethical? Is this lawful? Is this what democractic government does?
You can not pin point him on the Benazir Murder case. It is like punishing the leader for anything that goes wrong during their tenure. Judges case yes.. he is worthy of blame...
Completely wrong decision of the ATC
He is also responsible for the death of over 4000 pakistani soldiers during kargil war.
Everyone is equal in front of the law. If today we punish Musharaf and set an example out of him, only then will the military never think of indulging in politics.
Musharraf is oppressed in the hands of criminal politicians, biased media and judiciary. There are many other who have caused immense damage to this country and created so many issues but they are free. Shameful for Pakistan that a person who gave Pakistan strength from all perspectives and Internationally so much respectful is suffering judicial revenge.
judiciary at its prejudiced best, they are only humiliating him.
As long in farmhouse all is judicial and journalism juglary. Take him to some prison as he did for his ousted opponants then shall see who is more powerful, law or ------------?
Biased Judiciary. Love you Musharraf, you did everything right for Pakistan.
Biased judiciary.. that's all i can say. there had been so many suicide bomb attacks during the PPP's tenure. why dont they blame Yousuf Raza Gilani or Zardari for them?
This is utter nonsense. It does seems vendetta is being done rather justice.
Its simply called Judicial terrorism. My support is with Musharraf. He done massive support on Earthquake 2005.
If Iftikhar Chaudery is doing wat Musharruf did to him then where is the higher moral ground ? Is he an unfair and unjust person too?
Pervez Musharraf dismissed an elected government of Pakistan. He arrested elected Prime Minister, other federal ministers and Chief Minister Punjab. He dismissed entire judiciary. He banned all judges in their houses along with their families. He signed NRO with PPP and forgave all corruption. This corruption was done on the money of our taxes. He killed hundreds muslims in Laal Masjid. He dis-obeyed constitution of Pakistan. He imposed un-constitutional emergency.
Shame for Pervez Musharraf. He should be severely punished.
If justice for all is what this judiciary is up to, then I reckon cases like Swiss Accounts, Asghar Khan case, Prince Arsalan, Supreme Court attack, Hudaibia paper mills also need to be pursued like this. That will never happen I reckon.
Why physical remand in Farm House? If Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, Zulfiqar Bhutto, Saad Rafique, Siddique Alfarooq, Ahsan Iqbal, Pervez Rasheed and Khawaja Asif can go to jail; why not Pervez Musharraf. Pervez Musharraf has committed serious crimes. He should be dealt like others. There should be no superior treatment.
What goes around, comes around....Even the honourable judge of Pakistan Supreme Court didn't deserve the sort of humiliation he received....
its all Justice nothing else, one should be punished upon his unethical acts even though he is Presedent or a King.
Musharraf deserves this. What he did with elected PM of Pakistan? As you sow, so shall you reap.
A student takes the quiz of his professor-this is Pakistan.
Seriously, if Musharraf can be tried for Benazir's murder, then there should be trial for Murtaza Bhuttos' murder as well? Who was the Prime Minister at that time? Anybody?!
Respect for the cammando that he knew this will happen and still entered Pakistan..... Judiciary is taking revenge thats another story...!!!!
Pathetic!
Ho does not deserve this kind of humiliating treatment . he was much better in the lot of past leaders . I strongly protest against this unjust behavior of courts .
This guy was the head of SSG hes SSG qualified u think the 14 day remand can mess him?.
