LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday took notice of the alleged abduction and rape of a girl in Chunian after reports regarding the incident were published in local papers.  According to the reports, Muhammad Aslam, a resident of Jodha Singh village, Chunnian, had said his daughter, an eighth-grader, was getting training at a beauty parlour near their home. The girl was abducted when she was returning home from there. He said Ehsan Manzoor, Shakir Manzoor, Naeem and three unidentified accomplices had kidnapped her. Aslam said the men had raped her for three hours. When she fainted, they threw her near a stream in the area, he said. Aslam alleged that he had gone to a police station with his complaint but the police refused to register a case. He said it was only after the neighbours protested that police agreed to register a case, that too, without charges of abduction, shooting and terrorism. He accused Muhammad Ameen, the officer incharge of investigation, of having been bribed by the culprits and of trying to influence the medical report.
