Earlier PPP member Sohail Malik said that Nawaz was a defaulter in the Asghar Khan case and objected to his nomination papers for NA-120.
Malik – in his complaint – also said that Nawaz was not “sadiq” and “ameen” because he brokered a deal in order to escape Pakistan when his government was toppled in 1999.
In the past, Nawaz Sharif has “strongly” denied allegations of receiving funds from the ISI during the 1990 elections.
He said that Mehran Bank owner Yunus Habib, who allegedly gave loaned money to the ISI in the 1990s, had a “criminal” past and he did not remember ever meeting him.
Another appeal, filed by Afshan Ameerud Din, sister of Arif Ameer also known as Tippu Truckaan Wala, alleged that the returning officer for NA-120 (Lahore) had failed to comprehend paragraphs 14 and 15 from the Supreme Court’s judgment in the Asghar Khan case.
Despite the objections, the returning officer had cleared Nawaz to run in the elections. This decision was then appealed to the election tribunal after further objections.

hey why wasnt he asked about the money he collected from general public in which he claimed to return all the debt of pakistan?even my grandfather gave away his golden watch.HOW CAN HE BE TRUSTED?
@Hamid Mehmood: Dear friend even if we believe that Mr. NS is all that you claim him to be, what would you say about them bieng in power for more then a decade. No matter how honest they are, there has to be an end to constant single family rule. For heavens sake this is 21st century. How much more time should we give them? The logic defeats me.
Either Pakistani voters should claim that they are happy with the state of affairs of the country and vote for the traditional parties. But if any Pakistani thinks that we need change and can improve the situtation then please vote for some one new.
It is insanity to believe that the giving power to the same people over and over again will improve anything.

The only hope for our beloved country is Mian Nawaz Sharif, as he has the experience, exposure, expertise, enough tolerance, enriched past, empowered trust, embraced relations, extensive credibility. His stature is far away from tiny allegations. Some of our dear passionate youth just in love of their choice criticize illogically , that's not fair. They have to prove if any thing wrong in any personality. The best way is filing a case in court. Pakistan needs a seasoned politician and trustworthy real Pakistani leadership. Best of luck NS. We have to make our country a real economic power, where GDP increases and inflation runs away. Strong Pakistan , Strong Leadership.
Its all about money and power - you can buy anything and anytime.

Can you name some of NS contribution for the country. What did he do to make the life of ordinary Pakistanis better. What is his contribution in health care, education for poor, policies for youth employment. What is his contribution for loadshedding? What did he do for foreign investments. What did he do for crime prevention? To me and many righteous Pakistanis he does not do anything but he does all he can to increase his business. He did not do anything for stopping corruption but he is main culprit of corruption. He get elected from people votes but he is never seen in the midst of people. His attitude is of a king who distance from his subjects. He never think about his subjects but just think about protecting his castle.

Could you please elaborate from whom Mr. NS has protected you always so that we can also see what we have missed.
I am not in a favour of restricting him from contesting elections but for God sake dont say he has done any good for the country. They have protected themselves and will protect their interests every time you select them. If they come again, we will go down. Dont know how down :(

The law-makers should abolish this law as the leaders and their associates would cross over this anyway so no point creating a joke of what is termed as Sadiq and Ameen. Disappointed.
