The letter, available with The Express Tribune revealed that these officers had been illegally transferred to FIA on deputation basis from unconcerned departments, creating administrative difficulties as senior officers of the agency viewed it as an infringement of their rights.

Despite reshuffling at the federal and provincial levels, officers transferred to FIA because of close links with politicians in the outgoing Pakistan Peoples Party led government continue to serve on their posts.

Both the FIA and NAB have been systematically crippled by past governments. Its the job of the next government to cure them of these politically affiliated appointments.
