Sindh IGP to compile computerised crime and criminal data to fight crime.

KARACHI:


Sindh IGP Shahid Nadeem Baloch has emphasised the importance of the availability of computerised crime and criminal data to fight crime.


He has directed the crime record office, fingerprint bureau and forensic division in Sindh police to collaborate with each other to compile a comprehensive data file. Baloch, addressing a meeting at the Central Police Office, said that targeted police actions must be conducted against criminals and plainclothed police officials must be deployed at bus stands, railway stations, airports and other sensitive installations. He also stressed the importance of involving representatives from the business community in policing markets and industrial areas.
