SUKKUR: President Asif Ali Zardari, his children and prominent Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders reached Naudero on Wednesday to attend the 34th death anniversary of PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

There will be no public gathering at Garhi Khuda Bux this year. Leaders and party workers will, however, be allowed to visit the mausoleum to offer Fateha.

A Quran Khawani, followed by a mehfil-e-mushaira will take place at Naudero House. President Zardari and Bilawal may address the gathering at midnight.

Sardar Aamir Bhutto, who is reportedly angry with the PPPP leadership, has refused to attend the events.

He has, however, hinted that he might visit the graves of the martyrs to offer prayers accompanied by Pakistan Peoples Party Shaheed Bhutto chairperson Ghinwa Bhutto.
