First online branch: UBL opens branch in village Thathi

Deputy Chairman of United Bank Limited, inaugurated the bank’s 1,320th branch in village Thathi

LAHORE: Sir Mohammad Anwar Pervez, Deputy Chairman of United Bank Limited, inaugurated the bank’s 1,320th branch in village Thathi in Gujar Khan tehsil, Punjab last week, says a press release. This is Thathi’s first ever online branch of a major bank, offering state-of-the-art financial services and facilities to the residents. On the occasion, Pervez, who hails from Thathi, said, “Thathi is a developed village of Punjab in terms of its infrastructure and the facilities provided to its residents. It is only natural that banking facilities also be made available here. With the inauguration of this branch, UBL has been able to launch modern banking services in this part of the country.” President and CEO Atif R Bokhari said, “With the Thathi branch, we have further consolidated our position as an institution working hard towards reducing the proportion of the unbanked populace in the country.”
