KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari returned to the country early on Tuesday morning, Express News reported.

He landed at the Jinnah International airport in Karachi after flying back from Dubai.

Bilawal had left for Dubai on March 26 amid reports of a rift with President Zardari and Faryal Talpur over the party’s stance on several key issues including militancy, sectarianism and the awarding of party tickets for the upcoming general elections.

Dispelling rumours of a rift with her nephew Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Faryal Talpur, sister of President Zardari, said on Sunday that the scion of the Bhutto family was on a routine visit abroad and would return to Pakistan in the next couple of days.

Speaking at a news conference at the president’s camp office in Naudero, Talpur ruled out differences with Bilawal.

Bilawal is now expected to take part in functions observing Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s death anniversary on April 4.
