Information security: Wateen participates in conference

The event was held to create awareness of information security.

Wateen Telecom, a leading converged communications provider, participated in the first-ever Information Security Conference, organised by the Punjab Information Technology Board recently. The event, where Wateen was represented by its Chief Technology Officer Faisal Sattar, was held to create awareness of information security and challenges faced by organisations in ensuring cyber security and business continuity, says a press release. The conference brought together stakeholders from the government, industry and academia, who shared their knowledge and experience and debated how to effectively combat the threats to information security.
