Health Conference: Experts discuss care for children

Conference on Emergency Care for Children organised by Aga Khan University and Johns Hopkins University on Saturday.

KARACHI: A number of health experts attended a conference on ‘Emergency Care for Children’ organised by the Aga Khan University and Johns Hopkins University on Saturday.

While speaking at the conference, experts stressed the need to develop legislation that defines standards of pediatric care.

“Child mortality can be reduced significantly if health professionals trained to handle cases of trauma are hired,” said Dr Nadeem Qureshi, the chairperson of International Emergency Medicine Programme in King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre, Saudi Arabia.
