According to the constitution, the suspended provincial government has been reinstated, but no formal declaration has been made.
All efforts to subdue Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani to resign in the last 24 hours have failed.
Earlier, President Asif Ali Zardari met Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and Governor Balochistan Nawab Zulfiqar Magsi to reach a solution for the Balochistan situation.

Under the law, the president was supposed to obtain Parliament’s endorsement for the state of emergency within a period of two months.
